About the project

A cloud booking platform for businesses that sell time slots: escape rooms, axe throwing, laser tag, virtual reality. Each business gets its own booking site in its own colours, a portal for its staff and its data in a separate database, and is paid directly, with no commission. I founded the project on the system I built for XCapoter, and turned it into a platform for many businesses, many kinds of activities and several payment providers. The platform runs in pre-production; the first pilot projects are planned for 2027.

Highlights

• Multi-business architecture: a subdomain, a database and an encryption key per business, with tests that check the isolation on every change.
• Time-slot engine for private sessions and public games shared by several groups, with the slot held during payment and concurrency tests against overbooking.
• Stripe, Moneris and Doura behind a single interface: payments verified with the provider, automatic reconciliation and refunds.
• Five base themes and fifty-five premium themes customizable live, some of them built from the business’s own data.
• Booking widget that embeds in a business’s existing website, shown only on the sites it has registered.
• Québec Law 25 built in: automatic purging of personal data, versioned policies, recorded consent and no resources loaded from third-party sites.
• Bilingual staff portal: room schedules, a phone-friendly point of sale, permissions by job title, sales and tax reports, and owner guides in both languages.
• AI-augmented development, backed by nearly 1,500 automated tests on SQLite, MySQL and MariaDB, continuous integration and ten security and code reviews.
